Christian Science Reading Room
The first Christian Science Reading Room was established in Boston Massachusetts in the year 1888. It was to provide a place for the public to read and study authorized Christian Science literature. Today there are about 2000 Reading Rooms around the world in about 80 countries to provide for this purpose.Our Reading room is located within our church building. You are most welcome to visit and learn more about Christian Science, it's Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy, and spiritual healing. A comfortable and quiet study area is available to read any of the books and periodicals available including the newly revised weekly international newspaper The Christian Science Monitor. There is also an audio section where a number of CDs and cassette tapes on Christian Science may be reviewed. Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures is available on LP vinyl records and may be borrowed. All of the above resources are available to use at no charge.A sales area is available so you may purchase any of the books or periodicals. A librarian is on duty at all times to help you in your research and also to answer any questions you may have.
The Reading Room is open during the following hours except holidays or special events:Wednesday from 4:30 to 5:30 pm and for a few minutes after the meetingSaturday from 1 to 3 pmSunday for a few minutes after the church serviceAll are welcome |
